This is the classic route of circuit 1 where you will visit the upper terraces of the New Wonder of the World. It includes only the upper part of Machu Picchu, but allows you to take the classic Machu Picchu.

For those looking for breathtaking views and an unforgettable picture opportunity among the historic ruins without walking a lot, this route is perfect.
Things to Know:
You can visit Route 1-C, also known as the Sun Gate Intipunku Route, during the peak season from June 1st to October 15th and from December 30th to 31st, 2024 and get a unique perspective of Machu Picchu.

Apart from the upper terraces, the itinerary for this route involves hiking to the Sun Gate Intipunku, which has historical significance as an Inca strategic viewpoint to observe the sacred city below. The hike to the former entrance of Machu Picchu takes 1.5 – 2h each way.
Nowadays, only the travelers with this ticket and the ones doing the Inca Trail can visit the beautiful place.

At Machu Picchu, Route 1-D, the Inca Bridge Route, provides an unforgettable trip only in the peak season from June 1st to October 15th and from December 30th to 31st, 2024. This itinerary includes a 15 – 30 hike to the Inca Bridge and once there, you will spend up to 1h at this amazing place.
