Due to the area’s tropical climate, you can expect warm weather and rain whatever time of year you travel to Iquitos. June, July, and August are often the driest, making them the preferred time for visiting the city and rainforest. 

The wet season in Peru starts in November and runs approximately to the end of April. Although the water levels swell considerably during these months, the increase in rainfall shouldn’t hamper your visit. No matter when you arrive, the Amazon rainforest offers amazing sights and beautiful wildlife year round.
