What Our Travelers Say About Us
Exploor was the best choice we made for our Peru trip. They planned every part of the trip exceptionally well right from the planning to scheduling and sharing of information.
They had a great team who were prompt, friendly and thorough. A big shoutout to Rosmy from the planning team and Maik and Grimaldo who were our guides. They went over and above for each leg of the trip. Great vehicles, good restaurant selection for meals, well-explained tours made the whole experience very memorable and comfortable. An added bonus was the great photo taking which our guides were experts in 🙂 10/10 recommended!
Exploor made it possible to be completely hands off and thoroughly enjoy the is trip. I am beyond pleased with their services and would highly recommend! They were also very accommodating to flight delays and such.
The admin team: Walter, Karen, Rosmy held down the plans! The tour guides: Kari and Andrea …10/10! I feel like I completed a college course on the history of Peru! The drivers made us feel 100% safe and were also very accommodating. Well done team!!
Belmond Andean ExplorerSouth America’s first luxury sleeper train, with private cabins and fine dining, runs overnight from Cusco to Puno. We add it as an upgrade, with one extra day.

Sacred Valley RetreatsStays such as Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba, or Tambo del Inka with its own train station to Machu Picchu, give you quiet nights lower than Cusco.

For food lovers: 10 days. Fewer sights, more tables, from Lima’s tasting menus to a Pachamanca in the valley and dinner in a historic Cusco setting. From USD 4,938 in the entry category, USD 7,876 in 5-star hotels.
Andes and Amazon: 12 days. A river cruise in the northern Amazon, then Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. Choose it if wildlife matters as much as ruins. From USD 8,199 in a small group with entry-level hotels, or USD 10,189 private in 5-star hotels.
Add the Galapagos: 5 days. A cruise to Genovesa, South Plaza, Santa Fe and Lobos, with snorkeling and naturalist guides, easy to combine with any Peru itinerary. From USD 5,759. See all our Galapagos tours.
When to book. Five-star hotels in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu Pueblo, the Hiram Bingham and Machu Picchu tickets all sell out first for June to August. Machu Picchu tickets alone often sell out 60 days or more ahead, so book as soon as your dates are fixed. May and September offer the same dry weather with more availability.

MIL, the restaurant chefs Virgilio Martínez and Pía León opened beside the Moray terraces in 2018, sits at about 11,500 ft (3,500 m), higher than Cusco. Much of the building houses Mater Iniciativa, their research team studying Andean crops. Because of that altitude, our gourmet tour puts lunch at MIL on day 4, after a first night in the lower Sacred Valley, so you can enjoy a long tasting menu without feeling the height.
