1 day, from USD 429. Pickup in Cusco around 3:30 or 4:00 am, train from Ollantaytambo, guided visit, a meal in Machu Picchu Pueblo and back to your hotel in the evening. Best if you are already acclimatized in Cusco and short on time. It is a long day, so it suits fit adults more than young children.
2 days, from USD 649. The Sacred Valley on day 1 and Machu Picchu on day 2. Sleeping in Machu Picchu Pueblo means no 4:00 am start and an earlier entry time. This is the option we suggest to most first-time visitors.
3 to 5 days, from USD 829 to USD 1,399. Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, with Rainbow Mountain or Humantay Lake added depending on the trip. These give your body time to adjust to Cusco, at about 11,150 ft (3,400 m), before the higher hikes. Browse all of them in our short trips to Peru.

On small-group packages the Machu Picchu ticket is included and the other entrance tickets are paid on the day; private versions include every entrance ticket. Each tour page lists exactly what is included.
Machu Picchu has a daily visitor cap. For 2026 Peru’s Ministry of Culture set it at 5,600 people a day in high season, which runs from June 19 to November 2 plus a few holiday dates, with a lower cap the rest of the year. Almost all tickets are sold online for a fixed time slot, and the small daily quota sold in person in Machu Picchu Pueblo means long lines and no guarantee, so if you are traveling between late June and October, book as soon as your dates are fixed.
