Qorikancha, San Blas and SacsayhuamánThe city tour on our 4-day classic and 5-day packages covers the Inca Temple of the Sun under the Santo Domingo convent, the San Blas quarter and the fortress of Sacsayhuamán.
Moray, Maras and OllantaytamboEvery package spends a full day in the Sacred Valley at the Moray terraces, the Maras salt pans and Ollantaytambo, with stops at a chichería for corn beer and a community textile center.
Machu Picchu by Train or on FootThe packages reach the citadel by train from Ollantaytambo for a 2-hour guided visit, while the 4-day Inca Trail and the 5-day Salkantay trek arrive on foot.
ATVs, Ziplines and Via FerrataOur adventure tours add an ATV ride to Moray and Maras or a via ferrata and zipline in the Sacred Valley, and we can build either into a Cusco package.
3 days, from USD 829. The minimum to see the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain. It works, but Rainbow Mountain on day 3 comes soon after arriving at altitude, so it suits travelers who have already spent a few days at altitude elsewhere in the Andes.
4 days, from USD 979 or USD 1,299. Choose the classic tour if this is your first visit, if you are traveling with children or over 50, or if you would rather see Cusco itself than climb: day 1 is the city, day 2 the Sacred Valley with a night in Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), day 3 Machu Picchu. Choose the highlights tour if you are fit and want both Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain.
5 days, from USD 1,399. The best balance for most travelers. The free day on day 4 gives your legs a break before Rainbow Mountain on the last day, and if your flight lands late on day 1, the city tour moves to that free day.
7 days with the coast, from USD 1,869. Lima and the desert first, then 5 days around Cusco. Starting at sea level and flying up later is the main reason travelers pick it.

When the Spanish built the Santo Domingo church and convent in Cusco, they used the walls of Qorikancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun, as its foundations. Earthquakes, including the one in 1650, badly damaged the church above, yet the tightly fitted Inca stonework below is still standing. You see both layers in a single visit on the city tour included in our 4-day classic and 5-day packages.
