Route 2-A: The Designed Route
Route 2-A, which provides a complete tour of Machu Picchu’s most famous and picturesque sites, is ideal for first-time visitors. Highlights are the enormous agricultural terraces, the elaborate stonework of the Temple of the Sun and Sacred Rock.
This circuit ensures you see Machu Picchu in all its splendor and historical depth, which makes it the best option for taking the postcard-like photo.
If you want to add another hike with an impressive view to this route, then make sure to learn more about the differences between Machu Picchu Mountain and Huayna Picchu. The corresponding routes for these hikes are Route 3-A and Route 1-A, respectively.
