Question 1

Day 1: Cusco - Km 82 - Canabamba - Llactapata - Huayllabamba - Ayapata

Get ready for an adventure as you are picked up from your accommodation at 4:30 am. Then, we’ll head to Ollantaytambo for breakfast. From there, we’ll drive to Piscacucho (2700 m/ 8,858 ft.), where the Inca Trail officially starts at Kilometer 82. After a quick introduction to our team, a two-hour hike with a moderate incline takes us to where we’ll be eating lunch.

After lunch, we’ll continue on an adventurous 4-hour hike to Ayapata (3300 m/ 10,827 ft.), the trail’s only inhabited village. You can take a well-earned rest here, have an afternoon snack, and a filling dinner before going to bed.

Day 2: Ayapata - Dead Woman's Pass - Pacaymayu - Runkurakay Pass - Sayaqmarka - Chaquiqocha

On the second day, get ready for an adrenaline-pumping challenge that will test your trekking endurance while also providing breathtaking views. After a hearty breakfast, you’ll embark on a challenging four-hour climb that will get you to the spectacular “Dead Woman’s Pass” (Warmiwausca, 4215 m/ 13,828 ft.), the highest point on the Inca Trail. A stunning picture emerges from this unique viewpoint.

You will examine the historic Runkurakay site as you descend. As you continue on your journey, you will feel proud for having completed the most difficult section of the Inca Trail. Towards the end of the day, you’ll be rewarded with a celestial show: a sky filled up with stars, the ideal way to finish your extraordinary day of exploration.

Day 3: Chaquiqocha - Phuyupatamarka - Intipata - Wiñay Wayna

As you get ready for another day of action, fuel up with a nutritious breakfast and a powerful cup of coca tea. You’ll set out on a hike with picturesque views against the backdrop of the majestic Vilcabamba mountain range and the lovely Sacred Valley.

Your trek takes you to the beautiful Wiñay Wayna campsite, where a well-earned lunch is ready. But the thrills don’t end there. After that, you can explore the historic treasures at the archaeological site to learn more about a long-gone culture. You will enjoy a fantastic dinner as the sun goes down, before the highlight of your trip awaits you.

Question 4

Day 4: Wiñay Wayna - Sun Gate - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Your journey comes to an end on the fourth and last day with a trip to Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. After eating breakfast, get up around 3:30 am to begin the two-hour hike to Inti Punku Sun Gate. You can only see the spectacular sunrise over Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu from this location, which is ideal for taking panoramic pictures.

After an hour-long descent, you will arrive at the fortress of Machu Picchu, where a 1.5-hour guided tour will inform you about its history. Take a bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) and then a train to Ollantaytambo after that. There, our driver will pick you up and transfer you back to Cusco.
